History

With the abundant blessings and Mercy of our Lord Almighty, the United Christian Fellowship later named as United Christian Church formatted in 1993. This church was started as a small prayer meeting by two families on a Good Friday in 1992. The prayer meeting was initially known as Albany Prayer Group, which continued occasionally at each residence and more families of different Christian denominations joined to the prayer group. The prayer group has grown by the grace of God with more families from different denominations. The Fellowship had been receiving the services for Orthodox, Marthoma and CSI denominations in the alternative weeks. In 2005, Orthodox families stimulated from UCC and formatted independent Orthodox Church in Albany. In 2005, Jacobites families joined UCC and started Jacobite Services along with Marthoma and CSI Services.   Currently, about 30 families are actively participating with the services regardless to their denomination.
